Hello all members of CCRRCSD. My name is Sheldon Toso and I am the current acting president of CCRRCSD.
As President I would like to implement a commitment for myself and future Board Presidents to report to the membership at the conclusion of a Board
of Directors meeting in the form of a President’s Message. This message will be listed on our website https://rockyroad.community.
At the Board of Directors (Board) July meeting the Board authorized a letter to be sent to all members within CCRRCSD. This letter will identify some of the history and issues with CCRRCSD.
Our first open board meeting in March 2022 and a five (5) member volunteer Board was appointed. At our June 2022 meeting, a CCRRCSD member identified an issue with the appointed Directors. Between our June and July 2022 meetings our Calaveras County District 4 Supervisor Amanda Folendorf and the County Elections and Recorder Rebecca Turner were contacted for help to resolve this issue. At our July Board meeting both Amanda and Rebecca attended and made it possible to resolve our issue. I cannot thank Amanda and Rebecca enough for all of their help.
At our July meeting we were informed by Rebecca that all of the current Directors will be up for a vote in November of this year. To continue as a director, a current Director needs to complete an application with the Calaveras County Recorders office after July 18th and prior to August 11th. If only five (5) candidates apply, then those five will
automatically be appointed as directors to CCRRCSD. Also, if five (5) candidates apply than an election for directors will not be require and will save CCRRCSD an estimated $2,500 dollars. However, if any member would like to be elected to the Board of Directors please contact the Calaveras County Elections Department and complete the candidate request form prior to August 12, 2022.
I feel that CCRRCSD current Board is and has been an excellent team. If the current Board continues after November and there are any members interested in volunteering for the Board, please notify the current Board and you will be appointed to the Board should there be a vacancy.
